As I mentioned in my last post, I stayed in London last June. My ritual on the day of arrival is to visit my favourite part of the city - Chelsea. I always stroll down King's Road and have a look through all the posh shops. It's a great area if you want and can spend a lot of money. I absolutely love the architecture and the vibes in Chelsea.

Right by the fire station I turned left and walked down Oakley Street, where my future home is situated (a girl can dream, ok?). At the end of this absolutely stunning road, you will find Albert bridge, which is my favourite. It reminds me of Cinderella's castle in Disneyland. I stayed there for almost an hour to shoot an outfit (click here for the post).

After eating some cheddar and drinking my fave iced tea from Mark's and Spencer on a cute bench, I continued my walk along Chelsea Embankment towards the city. I spotted Battersea Power Station in the distance. Unfortunately, the chimneys were under construction at that time. It's one of my favourite buildings in London and if you have never seen it or heard about it, google it.

Near Chelsea Bridge, I got on a bus to Victoria station. I didn't know what to do or where to go, so I just boarded a circle line train to Westminster and got out there. When the train arrived at Westminster, I stepped off and missed the way out sign. Since I'm a very awkward person, I didn't want to turn around (as that would make me look like a weird person - obviously (wtf brain? as if someone cares in such a big city)). So I got on an escalator down to the Jubilee line. I ended up at Waterloo station, where I decided to take a walk along South Bank.

I wanted to rush to Millennium bridge, to take a picture of St.Paul's, enlightened by the last sunrays of the day. Unfortunately, I was a bit too slow, so I ended up with a photo of the stunning cathedral in the shade - oh well. I strolled across Southwark bridge, got into Cannon Street and took a circle line train "home" to my hotel near Aldgate.

Let's actually talk about the hotel I stayed in. I decided to try out MotelOne London Tower Hill this time. I was quite happy with my choice. The rooms are very minimalist yet chic, everything was clean and the staff was friendly. The view out of my room was great and I felt really happy and inspired everytime I looked out of the window (check out the last picture in this post for a little glimpse of the view). Since I found a discount code before booking, I received a free breakfast every morning, which I enjoyed a lot. The closest underground station - Aldgate (circle and metropolitan line) - is about one minute away from the hotel. If you want to get a district or hammersmith & city line train, you can walk to Aldgate east, which is quite close as well. There's also a bus stop down the road. Sights you can explore around the hotel include Shoreditch, Brick Lane, the Tower of London and Tower bridge.  In conclusion, I really recommend MotelOne London Tower Hill.
