In the last week of June, my class went to Florence because all the final exams were over. It was a nice journey and the city is really pretty, but it cannot beat Barcelona ;) On our first night, there were huge fireworks for about 40 minutes. It was insane! 

Our hostel was far off the city centre on a little hill. It was called Ostello Villa Camerata and it's an old mansion that was turned into a hostel. It is really gorgeous (you may see that in the pictures below).

What I really liked about the city was the architecture. They have so many nice old buildings. And of course the sexiest man: the statue of David.

Moreover, there are a lot of opportunities to go shopping, whether you like H&M or MiuMiu. And in this case I would say that window shopping is a nice thing to do, since the designers often have such pretty decoration. We even ate lunch in front of the Valentino shop.

I was also looking forward to go and eat in the pizzeria where the Jersey Shore crew worked during their stay in the city. It's a cute place and the clothing line is really there! So if you are a fan of the show, you have to go there and eat a pizza.

All in all it was a nice trip and I can recommend you Florence especially if you're searching for a romantic place as a couple.
